Our K1 and K2 was just approved 2 weeks ago. My Fiance had no issue scheduling interview via call center for her and her daughter.

K2 had her own set of DS forms except for the 156K. She also had her set of I-134 but not supporting docs. My Fiance said they did not needed the supporting docs(letter of employment, IRS etc..)for the K2. Once scheduled the K2 will also receive a confirmation letter of the appointment.

Was the K2 daughter showing on the NOA2? How did the child receive confirmation notification about the appointment?

May your visa journey be smooth and speedy.

I am new to this whole process and just beginning the journey to bring my fiance from the Philippines to the U.S. I am confused by the whole K2 part of the visa. I am getting all our papers together and following the checklist. Is there a separate K2 form I have not been able to locate? My fiance has a son who is 3 yrs old and will be joining her coming to the U.S. and I want to ensure I do everything right....Thanks

i will answer you again lol, Philippines is different from another country i mean the rules, before the USEM sends instructions on what to do and what are the docs you need to provide i mean the beneficiary, but now you can just download it on USEM website. they send confirmation letter after you set the appointment either online or tru phone call, and you won't see the name of the k2 on the noa2, but as long as you mentioned the name of the k2 on i-129f you are good to go. i am sure when you set her appointment tru phone call you received confirmation letter of her appointment :) either online or tru phone call they always ask for email address.

all you have to do is put your fiancee's son's name on the form i-129f and it would be better if you include a copy of his birth certificate :).

Ok great! Thank you so much!

Another silly question....Can my fiance and I scan the birth certificate and send it to me as a pdf file? I just returned from visiting her and did not know this at the time....

That should work. The copies they have aren't the greatest anyway. Do a search for K2 in the box at the upper right corner of the page. You'll find plenty of reading that way.

May your visa journey be smooth and speedy.

QUESTION: Can her son take the SLEC medical using his mother's appointment letter, or does he need one of his own?

actually it is ok to go and do the medical with or without the confirmation letter of his/her interview :) so yes he can go with his mom :)
