we filed last December and got our noa1 last January 03, 2012. i have friends who are also in K1 process they filed theirs almost a month after ours, but they already have their noa2. I feel so clueless what's going on, it feels so sad. I know i need to have patience with this Journey but it is killing me, should we call USCIS now and start asking about our case?

As frustrating as it will be, I would say no. The USCIS considers normal processing time to be six months. (The normal is 5 months but because that's an average they don't do anything until 30 days after)

I would suggest waiting. Calling at this stage could potentially slow you down according to some other information

Yes, you've hit the 5 month mark so you should definitely call USCIS. Good luck!

I would call after 6 months myself, I can't believe it would slow it down no matter when you call....

I would also contact congressman, as you are passed 5 month mark, which is a normal processing time for USCIS.

We feel your pain and we are in the same boat together. I called and requested a service request. I have no idea if it is going to help. I also got my Senator involved. He has already responded back to me with. The lame brain quote we hear all the time. You have to wait, you are still in the processing time.

It looks like to me we filed virtual at the same time. So that means we are in the same box, which most likely has been misplased, lost or in the hands of the slowest most incompent adjustificator they have.

Our EAC number has never worked on the website has yours?

Looks like we need to team up to get something done. This is frustrating to see all these people filed after us get approved. I am about to go ________tal on somebody.

01/09/2012 - Sent to TSC

01/10/2012 - Received by TSC, transferred to VSC

01/13/2012 - check cleared bank and email from USCIS

01/17/2012 - NOA from VSC Receipt # notice no case #

go to USCIS website, type your case/receipt #, starting with either WAC or EAC, you can chec your status there, and you can sign up so that you will see if there's movement on your case, mine was only touch once :( till now still initial review.

WAC goes to California which is usually the slowest said by some members here, but I got mine approved there last year in 4.5 months. Keep your heads up! Live life, enjoy Philippines because the moment you are here your heard starts missing home, also I suggest instead of counting the days passing waiting for the notice be productive by meticulously preparing for your consulate interview that way you can have your visa issued without further delays and hurdle.

I'd no longer wait and definitely make a phone call.

This is what it says on your timeline:

Based on timeline data, your I129f may be adjudicated between May 28, 2012 and May 31, 2012*.

If this date range has passed or your application is past due per USCIS processing times then you should consider calling the USCIS to inquire on your petition. If you have been approved please update your timeline.

Good luck!

Have you checked the USICS website to see if your packet has "touches" Touches means the person reviewing has some questions that either need someone else in their offices review or they need RFE. If none of these then call once you are at 160 days. Most for RP are taking 181 days start to interview.

Dont go by other people's progress. I was doing that too. I saw a couple get their NOA2 in February and then they got stuck at NVC and we ended up getting our visa before them. Good luck and keep your chin up!
