Has Ezzie or anyone else heard anything new?

i filed n-600k for my daughter in july. received NOA1 5 days after.. i called USCIS to get a status update (after a month from my filing date).. since i couldnt check status online. i was transferred to a 2nd tier person, and luckily i was able to talk to a fellow filipino officer. so he was nice enough to give me updates. he told me that my application has already been forwarded to newark office and they are processing it. but he also told me that lately n600ks have been taking longer than usual to process, dunno why. :( he just told me to get an info pass for newark if i wanted to talk to an officer and speed things up. but the problem is we're not even in new jersey -- so i cant get an info pass coz i dont wanna fly all the way to NJ to get status update! well anyways, keep us all updated with your processing... we'd like to know :)

Hey Ezzie and everyone else. We received a letter from USCIS today about the N600 which said for us to sign the 2 photos of our son, and to mail them the green card and the signed photos. It says they will send us a seperate correspondence once a "decision" is made. Does this mean it is approved or what does this mean?

Thanks.

I applied for infopass today, scheduled for tomorrow. I would have to happily cancel it now, though.

When we checked the mail, there was a letter from USCIS. It says " Your application for Certificate of Citizenship has been approved. You have been scheduled for an Administration of Oath at the time and place listed."

Today is exactly 3 months from the time they received our application ( June 12, 2012). Oath is scheduled end of September.

So happy for this.

Hoping for good news for you guys as well.

Ezzie

Im pretty sure its been approved. I remember having to ask my son to sign the photos before we submitted. Maybe it's just a requirement thing.

Good luck!

They received the file June 12, 2012. We got the hard copy stating date and time of oath, on September 12, 2012. Nothing in the email at all.

I'm doing the N-600K(residing overseas) as well, and other than the first NOA which came by paperand e-mail,, everything since has been only through e-mail. After 2 phonecalls to check status that produced no information, I escalating an inquiry to my region USCIS headquarters (in Bangkok). They told me to wait the maximum 90 days, and at Day 107, I e-mailed them again and and that triggered atrace to the relevant U.S. Field Office Director. Then things went very fast. The very next day the U.S. Field Office Director disclosed that they did receive my N-600K but because they don't process N-600K's (and haven't done so for many years) in that particular field office, they just kind of "filed it" !! She promised to pull my file immediately and forward to the right Field Office that processes N-600K's. Very courteous and helpful response (see attached). After one RFE (see attached) which I responded to quickly by courier, the invitation letter to the interview and oath (see attached) came immediately afterwards, which we subsequently scheduled for next month. End to end, about 6 months even with the confusion in the middle of the process.

Good Luck to All!
