Just want to poin on usefull link:

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/374580-specific-administrative-inaccuracies-date-of-release-april-4-2012/

Everybody keep in mind this information. I have experience with this. Last summer my husband adopted my daughter she was 13 years old, we applied N-600 and they denied our case, without any explanation and reasons. We was calling at USCIS and have infopass at local office they tell us we can applied again but this case is denied and it is not available for review now, they can’t tell us reason of why. After I applied for free at "administrative inaccuracies". 90 days and they invited her to Oath. Total time was 1 year.

Wish good luck for all of you!

Seriously praying that all goes well with our N600. I want my son to have everything he ever needs to prove his citizenship. He already has his US Passport but seems the N609 Certificate of Citizenship is really important.

Based on the uscis website etc.

Let's update each other on the process. We're still waiting for his US passport as of the moment.

God Bless.

Ezzie

Okay, sounds good. We will keep each other updated here. When did you apply for the US passport? We got my sons US passport without the N600/COC in 2009. It will be time to renew the passport in 2014 and according to alot I've been reading the COC is going to be important in the future for drivers license, employment etc. so we applied for the N600/COC in June and I pray I submitted everything correctly and all goes smoothly.

He's only been here in the US for more than a month; we applied for the passport June 18th.

Not everyone applies for the N600, but I just know we'll be glad we did this for them. If you research VJ, you'll see the contentions of all those against it. Well, they're not really against it, but more like they see it as a waste of precious $600. It's really a lot of money for a certificate, so I wish it would have been a lot less than that.

Good luck on the passport. The thing that made me the think the N600 COC is worth $600 or any amount is this page on uscis website which was updated 5/16/12 and seems to indicate you can't even get a drivers license or anything without a COC even if you have a US passport! Am I reading that right?

Hi Ezzie, just wanted to check in and see if you've heard anything new yet on the N600 at all? We applied for our son's N600 in early June and haven't heard anything other than just reviving the receipt letter a few days after we applied. Have thou got any further news or anything yet? Have any other posters on this thread heard anything else? Has the original poster on this thread heard anything new? Good luck everyone. Hoping we all get good news soon.

Anyone with any new news?

OK, after 104 days since I received the initial I-797 NOA with no following response and a number of e-mails, the Bangkok regional USCIS finally agreed to help me track down information. After they escalated to the Seattle Field Office, I received a quick and detailed response and explanation that they do not process N-600K applications so I guess they just ignored my applications! To be fair, they did apologize for the delay and promised to forward the applications to the Yakima, WA Field Office, who are responsible for processing N-600Ks. In quick succession, they e-mailed me with a RFE to prove my 5-year residency in the U.S. to be returned by August 26 and this is where it stands right now. Not a very smooth process so far, as the N-600K process has changed and it wasn't very much used anyway, but it appears to back on track hopefully.

hello..

As for my son..We still haven't gotten any hard copy/NOA.

he's got the US passport, though. Last week, we went to update his status w/ SSA, and they were asking for the COC. The big boss said they cannot update his SS file, even if he has a US passport, until we can present his COC. They said they will update it if my son's name was in MY COC. I told them that at the time of my filing and oath, my son was still in the Philippines. But no dice, they said come back once we have my son's COC.

So there you go..one more reason why it's okay that we filed the N600.

I have heard that many SS offices will allow you to use a US Passport to update the status with social security, so you might try a different office. It even says on the social security website that you can use a US passport or a COC to update the social security status.

Yap, will try a different branch.

I called up USCIS yesterday to follow-up. They said the NBC is still processing it.

Any updates or anything Ezzie or anyone else who has filed an N-600 recently? Our N600 application was received by uscis on June 6, 2012 and the only thing we've received so far is just a receipt letter telling us they had received it and a receipt number (also an email/text notice of receipt). Praying all goes smoothly.

Hi, I just wanted to revive these 2 N600 threads to see if anyone who is still waiting on an N600 Certificate of Citizenship has received any news or updates, etc.

Thanks, we applied June 6, 2012 and have received the receipt notice.

I was hoping we could help keep each other updated here.
