Then are you calling yourself a moron? :lol:

Moderation has everything to do with this. They are solely responsible for necroposting in long buried games as of March 6, 2012. This was not the case before their interdiction.

Game threads are the problem. Old and new.

Some people are taking 'post whoring' waaaay too far. There are posters in the game forum who literally post in about 10 threads, every couple of minutes. It's not really a gameif there's one person p

An easier solution would be to rename OT to Games and rename PR to OT. That is the truth anyway.

Nomenclature is not the issue, one could rechristen OT as harmless pastimes and chatter (HPC) and P and R to Controversial Topics (CT) but that wouldn't stop the complainants. Some people just have ans irrational hatred of games, due to some unspecified reason.

I've seen a few people comment on the fact that the Off Topic forum is basically full of "game threads" such as: what time it is, scrabble (2 threads for this one), say something nice, say ANYTHING, what temperature it is, counting, word games, etc ...

This doesn't personally bother me too much, but it would be nice if the games had their own forum so that people who were looking to actually have off topic conversations with people had somewhere to go without sifting through pages and pages of games. Perhaps a subforum that is linked to Off Topic, but has its own area.

Is this an idea anybody is open to, or has it been brought up before?

I gave you one of those plus 1 thingy's. This should have happened ages ago. Someone starts a thread in OT, and less than an hour later it's on page 2 due to all those game threads being bumped. Those game threads are annoying and should have their own sub forum so like you posted, people can post legit O/T thread in that forum without having them moved to page 3 or 4 the next day due to all the game threads in that forum.

I have another terrific idea - echo threads made in the regional subforums to also show up in the new, old OT, unless the poster specifies they want it exclusively viewed in the regional subforums. That would greatly expand viewership and encourage a larger participation which would lead to building more bridges, which would bring about a better sense of online community. And everything would be right in this world, once again.

I have a better idea. Echo every thread everywhere! And let's not stop at VJ... Ewok should have bots that mirror VJ threads on other message boards as well and take responses there and mirror them on VJ!

Can we just give Kip and Steven their own forum and move all their threads there?

My threads have over the course of time, brought more hits to this site and thereby more revenue. I should get a monthly check from Capt. Ewok.

You have to go pages back if you want to actually catch up on a different post/topic that someone might have made that didn't happen to be a game. I made a post in a game thread about ten minutes ago - and it's gone. Buried in a backpage because of ONE poster.

It's obnoxious.
