Called the USCIS today for Status of our K1 Visa

For what it is worth I called today for status of our K1 Visa since we are 5 Months + 1 Day. The response was the Vermont Office is working on January 1st 2012 application so they are within processing goals. I just wanted to pass this along.

I think that the people who answer the phone always give different dates, I don't know if you should 100% trust their words because there are people who have been approved who are after January 1st NOA1.

Yup. It's been the scripted response for a few weeks now. They are clearly not processing January 1st. It only indicates that they want to dissuade people from calling to check on the status of petitions. This is the easiest way....

Yup don't worry about what they said...Things are looking much better. 7 approved timelines today. If this pace continues, everything will be fine. I don't expect this level of activity tomorrow as it will be a Friday. But next week. and the following week will probably close out June strong before the holiday.
