HI I keep hearing different things - Did you include proof of your ONGOING relationship?

3. The following items will not typically show proof of having met in the last two years however will show proof of an ongoing relationship: Copies of land line and cell phone bills, appropriate letters and emails, stamps on the letters (to document the date they were sent), and other written documentary proof. Provide a reasonable amount; two to four of each type. Pick a range of dates up to and including the present. You can also include a copy of engagement ring receipt (this is something that is a big optional - do not worry if you do not have a ring yet!)

No, because proof of ongoing relationship is not needed for the petition. USCIS wants proof of three things when it comes to petitions:

US citizenship of petitioner

Ability and willingness of both petitioner and beneficiary to marry

Proof of petitioner and beneficiary meeting in person in the last two years

You are just petitioning for the ability to file for a visa. Once that's approved, you file for the ACTUAL visa and that's when you need to prove things like an ongoing relationship.

Some people who are from high-fraud countries tend to front-load their petition with evidence of a bonafide, ongoing relationship, and that's fine.

For everyone else, those things aren't necessary. They don't hurt to include, really, but it's not required.
