To have the audacity to question my marriage is very upsetting and that is what some of you guys did in my previous post.Who in their right mind would think a 10 year relationship with a guy I met as a teenager isnt real? We have pics we took at my high school graduation! I got married at 20 and got pregnant soon after. We filed 10 years after being together and 5 yrs after getting married while some people who supposedly fell in love filed weeks or months after getting married.I wonder if the people who were bashing me in my previous posts entered their marriage in good faith and not to evade immigration laws. How dare some of you say that I dont sound convincing?? Because I dont have 100 fake photos? Its so easy to fake a smile or a kiss in photos.I bet the fake marriages have the most photos ! When my husband opened his bank accounts,I did not have a legal status nor a social so how on earth could I have been added? He no longer owns an account anyhow. The same with the utility bills.only one name goes on the account.Again,he has bad credit so we have separate finances.I dont want my credit to get ruined aswell! My marriage is fake because we arent financially stable enough to take vacations?? I should not have wasted time writting this post and should have just laughed at the uneducated, ridiculous remarks, but Its just so upsetting that some of you have the nerve to bash me about my marriage who anyone in their right mind wouldnt question if its "real" or bona fide.

OP its real simple. USCIS wants to see a copy of your marriage certificate, proof of living together. When i did our adjustment of status i never sent a picture. I sent proof of a joint bank account and we were approved without an interview. Having a child with him proves to the USCIS that you are not sterile and that you can reproduce. They dont care about that. I read all your other threads about how you seemed to think that it crazy that USCIS would not approve you based off the fact that you birthed a child with the person that petitioned you to come here. The person adjucating your case has never met you, does not care about you or your child. All they care about is seeing that you are living with the man who petitioned you, and to do that you have to prove that you are actively living with him. Normal married couples have bank accouts together, credit cards, being on an electricity bill with your husband. Do those things and get a green card. Dont do those things then Sayonara, try tommorra, nice to know ya.

OP, I think you are absolutely right. There are to many people, that question other people's intent and attack them, instead of helping them. For example, adjusting in tourist visa. I've seen it soo many times on VJ. Keep your head up and stay strong. People on here aren't the people that you have to convince that your relationship is genuine, it will be the person that sits across you at the interview. Be honest, bring evidence and everything will be fine! Good luck!

Yeah that's the problem. She doesn't have much and everyone has been trying to help her with suggestions of evidence she could get...but she doesn't want to hear it.headbonk.gif

@OP

If you have time to create a post complaining, you have time to do your research about how to deal with your situation.

Which one would you rather choose?

I agree with you 100% some people here always think very negatives. And always look things the way they want to see it and most of the time they are wrong about judging others. Yes, asking personal question here is something I learned not to do.

Best of luck on your journey.

With the multiple topics on essentially the same subject and being so passive aggressive...anyone suspect a troll here?

clueless, and not a reader, but , a troll ? no.

I wouldn't sling the label of 'troll' on her, at all. See, for the most part - being a troll requires skill. IMO, she doesn't posses that skill.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

Nobody in any thread questioned your marriage. That is a silly conclusion from the posts that I read. What was questioned was the quality of the evidence that is being submitted to USCIS that you are married. What they expect is that you share a household and co-mingle resources.

Ima take some of my valuable time and simplify things for you

Here are some examples of things that raise flags:

1. You have been married 10 years. Do the tax transcripts that your husband is bringing to the interview to prove you were married in 2007, 2008, and 2009 show him as married? If you sign a form and submit it to the government in 2007 and again in 2008 and again in 2009 say "I am not married" then you show up in 2012 saying "I was married" then expect to explain that, not to VisaJourney, but to the government that the signed forms that say something different then from what you are saying today. Tax transcripts tell USCIS a lot more than just income and people who sign forms saying one thing then sign other forms saying another thing raise flags when they show up and the forms are put side by side. That applies to everywhere, even VisaJourney where it doesn't really matter

2. People with bad credit have also signed other forms promising something then done something else. Fraud involves saying or promising one thing then doing something else. People who do this earn more scrutiny when they sign new forms and using "my husband signed some loan applications then didnt pay them off" as an excuse to not co-mingle finances makes it look like you aren't in it for better or worse but are in it to reserve your resources for yourself while only enjoying the benefits of having a USC husband. Understandable, but not evidence of being whole-heartedly in a marriage

3. We went through the immigration process twice. The (only) photos that we ever had to show were at the AOS interview in 2008. They flipped through and asked my wife questions about this or that. We didnt have many, but they were in different places / different situations and in two different countries and sort of highlighted things we had done together. You don't have to explain lack of photo evidence to me or anyone here, but USCIS officers think it is important and if you cannot gum some up for a 10-year marriage they, not us, will expect you to explain why

4. It is next to impossible to not have some sort of ID card or mail or anything at all showing that someone lives at an address. Joint or separate, if you dont have anything that shows that you occupy and have occupied the same house during your marriage (expecially 10 years of marriage) then you will be a statistical anomoly

So in a nutshell:

People who sign stuff for a benefit to themselves or who sign something then do not follow through or worse show up later with new forms that say something else appear to be fraudulant people to someone who is looking at the forms. Couples who are trying to prove their married life but reserve their assets separately appear to be acting in their own interest and more committed to their own interest rather than to the marriage, to someone who is looking for proof of a committed, ongoing relationship. People who are showing a 10-year marriage but cannot produce a scrap of documentation showing they occupy the same household or spend any quality time together (and) who also have written stuff that says one thing one day and other things another day because saying the new thing gets them a benefit are hard to believe. That is what I read from all the posts and all the topics and that is life, on or off of VJ

Me? I wish you luck, but you guys need to look in a mirror and not out here and figure out how to overcome these issues to your interviewing officer, not us. Apology if I hurt your feelings but take it out on your package of evidence and prove me wrong over there.

You gotta understand where you are... you aint dealing with haiti...... you are trying to convince one of the worlds most powerful government organization. USCIS has the right to question and they reserve the full authority to question whatever they want and whoever they want. it is their moral obligation and i am glad that they do... because many people use this process to get into united states and become a public burden on the hardworking US population.

the burden of proof is on you and no one else. i rather get critized by fellow Vj'ers than USCIS officials... its your decision to comply with their requirements and provide them with sufficient evidence like everyone else is doing..

so cut the ####### and get down to business. get your evidence in and make all the necessary docs available which can help you. this is an awesome website. because of so much information and experience, you can avoid expensive legal fees which you may endup paying to lawyers.

IMHO the OP is letting anxiety take the best of her. A lot of people have come up with great and productive ideas for her to mitigate any shortcoming that may exist.

As I said before, the best strategy is to hope for the best and plan for the very worst.

Congrats on the upcoming anniversary!!
