when I am around other Filipinos, I find myself often saying asawa ko, pinay ko, her nickname, or something to that idea.

when I am around Americans, I call her honey, sweetie, my wife, sometimes to shocked looks....

she can call me anything she wants.... as long as it is not late to dinner....

I did just kidnap a red eared slider who was walking down the street at the wrong time.

We can satisfy our nurturing instinct by spoiling this little cutie.

My nurturing instinct is about spent.

$10 worth of minnows in 3 days and he's pooping all in the new pool we bought him.

Absolutely refuses to use the litter box.

He dosn't seem to appriecitate all the sacrifices I've made.

Im just about ready to go throw his butt in a river

He can sink or swim on his own

I have never referred to Asawa Ko as "My Filipina". Never done it. Never will. I find it odd and (when considering context & usage ...your original post...for example) repulsive when others do.

Yes i agree does not sound good. However I am proud to be married to a Pinay. You all know the deal how some people thought you had lsot your mind when you first did it. I am very proud of her culture. I bought her a Philippines car tag border for her car.

No the last wife...(white American) I usually referred to her as "That ______" use your imagination.

I went back and looked thru some of your old posts, just because I am like a reporter and like facts.

Let the record show that after investigating the past posts of Crash. his statement passes the truth o meter. he has never refereed to his wife that way, and in many posts was condemning this kind of stereotyping as misogynistic.

I am on the Job to keep the truth alive and protect the innocent and I demand respect.

She dosn't love me, Im sending her back where she came from

She's been gone less than a week, last night I went out and found another little cutie and brought her home.

Why am I doing this to myself?

She will probably just break my heart like the others.

I think this knack I have for picking them up is more of a curse.

I'll go ahead and point out that I almost exclusively refer to Jessa as "Jessa". I tend to do that when we're around Americans, Filipinos, or anybody else on the planet. I've found that her name seems to work no matter the setting.

However, when I've done something wrong, I have been known to use the phrase, "yes, ma'am"

And, before you do your research, I think there was a post where I did use the phrase "my filipina" but I think it was meant to be humorous.

BTW, thanks for joining the group of men who refer to their wives/fiancees as people instead of property.
