No SSN

I moved here on 05/25/2012. It's almost three weeks and I still haven't received my SSN. Anyone else going thru something similar?

did you go to the social security office, if not then you need to go with your passport, cr-1 stamp,some times it takes time to get in the system.you filed the ds-230 they you wanted a social security card.maybe you can try calling ssa.gov 1-800-772-1213 you will be on hold a long time,good luck.

I did go to the local social security office soon as I got here, and was told I'd have to wait at least four weeks. I was hoping I'd get it earlier as, from what I've read on here, a lotta people did get theirs pretty quick!

Exactly the same issue here - Poe May 17 - nothin received and when I call my local office, I am not on their system yet.

Told to wait until 27th June to apply in person.

Sucks. All depends how fast the ppl at Poe input your application.

i've written that one goes on or about the 11th business day past poe date,

and when applying, ask for a SAVE database lookup.
