How certain are you that those files went to NRC? the operators/supervisors just say the thing that you want to hear so we can get off their back.

I contacted my congressman, and they were told my file was sent to the NRC. I also received a response from NVCresearch@state.gov, and teh same information was given.

Ridiculous.. Did they give you any timeframe of how long it would take to get it from NRC to NVC!?

I just spoke to the NVC today. Asked if they received my petition, they said no. I asked if it was currently taking longer than normal and she said "Yea, right now it is. I don't know what's going on with the guys over at immigration. I think they're all on vacation or something. Give it til Friday."

Everytime I get a response I get a different time frame. First, NVC asked me to give USCIS 30 days. Then USCIS asked me to give them 45 days. Finally, my congressman's office said they told her that my file would be overnighted as soon as they get it.

I requested an update from my congressman's office yesterday, I will keep you guys inform.

Our congressman could always locate our petition, he helped a lot, so yours will too. Good luck.
