Hi All,

I entered USA on 19th Jan and my I-94 runs out on 19th April 2006

My fiance and I are to be married on 15th april 2006.

My question is after we are married is there a time limit in which we have to file AOS paperwork, i.e. before I-94 runs out?

You need to file as soon as you can after your wedding.. a few weeks after your I-94 runs out is not going to cause you any problems... I would try and have all your forms and evidence ready so that once you get your Marriage certificate you are ready to send it off....

Hey LittleMo, nice to see you again! There is no set rule for sending off the AOS within a certain timelimit. As long as you marry within the 90 days you are forfilling the conditions of the K1 visa. Most people want to file asap after they marry simply because they want to work and what not as soon as they can. But they aint gonna turn it down if you send it off a month after the wedding so its your call. Good Luck!

May 5th 05 - K1 petition sent to CSC

August 23rd 05 - Visa Approved!!!

AOS and EAD

December 5th 05 - AOS and EAD sent

December 16th 05 - NOA's received for both AOS and EAD

December 31st 05 - Receive letter for AOS interview

February 6th 06 - AOS Interview - APPROVED

February 16th 06 - Biometrics Appointment

February 22nd 06 - EAD Approved via e mail

February 27th 06 - EAD card in mail!!!

March 6th 06 - Got a job!

March 17th 06 - Green Card Approval via e mail

March 18th 06 - 'Welcome to America' letter arrives

March 24th 06 - Green Card Arrives!

:D you can apply ASAP but their's not a timeline just get marry within 90 days.... :P

**K-1 VISA**

*07.29.05 sent package i-129f to california

*08.02.05 recveived NOA1

*10.17.05 received NOA2

*11.01.05 colombia's embassy received package

*12.05.05 interview date

*12.06.05 recieved VISA

*12.20.05 came to U.S.A!!!!

*12.28.05 applied for a Social Security

*01.05.06 received Social Security card =)

*02.11.06 married....

**AOS**

*03.01.06 sent package for AOS & EAD

*03.03.06 package arrived at unit (Chicago,il 60699)

*03.18.06 NOA1 for AOS & EAD (notice date 03.08.06)

*04.15.06 he had his Biometric taken

*04.17.06 EAD & AOS touched

*05.03.06 AOS touched again & case transfered to CALIFORNIA.

*05.12.06 EAD APPROVED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

*05.16.06 AOS touched again!!!!!

*05.17.06 EAD approval notice mail it, from USCIS office...and AOS touched again....

*06.12.06 AOS APPROVED

*06.19.06 we received my husband's GREEN CARD!!!!!!!!!
