I just got an update that an RFE is being sent out today to me is that a good thing or bad thing on one end am happy coz am seeing some action on the other i wish I didnt have to get an RFE........Anyone with RFE experience...

Usually an RFE means someone has looked at your file and noticed something missing

What was the RFE for?

06/10/2015-Went to info pass appt. Hubby got a 1yr. Extension stamp in his passport and biometrics done

08/12/2015-ROC Approved. Got letter in the mail.

08/29/2015-received new card in the mail.

If your file was complete, you would have been approved today instead of sent an RFE. But, it's okay. Send back what they want quickly and it won't be much longer.

8/17/10: INTERVIEW DAY (day 123) APPROVED!!

2/06/13: APPROVED!

Thanks canadian_wife and feli114 am not sure what the rfe is for yet am still waiting for the letter what i got was an update email no details yet. I got emails for both i130 and excuse I129f. Am sure the i129f will b closed. Should i even waste postage on responding to rfe?

mkenyanusu, respond to the RFE as soon as you receive it and it will be approved shortly thereafter. An RFE isn't the end of the world. Look on the positive side of it...they reviewed your file and as soon as you respond, things will move forward. Lots of love.

A good thing because it means an adjudicator has gotten to your file (finally!)

A bad thing because if only your papers were complete, it should have been an approval already!

USCIS

10/01/11 - Filed (2) I-130's

10/04/11 - NOA-1

04/05/12 - NOA-2

Your I-130 was approved in 184 days from your NOA1 date.

NVC

04/23/12 - NVC received both cases (18 days/12 business days from NOA-2)

05/07/12 - Case numbers and IIN's (14 days/10 business days since NVC received)

05/07/12 - Sent out DS-3032 by email; auto-response received

05/08/12 - AOS fee invoiced, paid - "IN PROCESS"

05/09/12 - AOS fee shows as "PAID"

05/10/12 - Spouse's DS-3032 accepted; minor child's rejected = had petitioner call NVC = received verbal acceptance from operator

05/11/12 - Spouse's IV fee invoiced

05/14/12 - Daughter's IV fee invoiced, paid both IV fees - "IN PROCESS"

Yep that good news bad news just be ready to send what they need fast.

And even though your I129F will be closed at the NVC level send whatever anyway. Just to keep things flowin.

But yes at least you were adjudicated. Just a bump not a wall for you.
