Aos process and name change.

I am adjusting from a tourist visa and my husband and I are currently in the process of filing out all the application forms. SInce all of my identification(passport etc.) has my maiden name on them do I fill out the applications with my maiden name or my husband's last name? I have heard that it is easier to wait until after the whole process and change it to husband's name.

Changing name afterwards actually will be harder. As it will require changing all the documents and pay additional fees. Better do it now, this way all your paperwork will be in your married name.

It's up to you, but if you want to add your husband's name then file the forms with his name.

You heard wrong. File the forms in married name. Otherwise you have to pay $$ to replace the name on your GC after it has been issued.

Just to reinforce what everyone else has said - use your married name on the forms. Way easier to do it at this step of the process, and you won't have to pay big bucks like you would if you decided to do it later on.

ETA: Note that you should put your maiden name where it asks for all other names used.
