Hello VJ family,

Where can we able to find the A# for question 11 on form I-129F?

We already filed K1 last September of last year.

But we withdraw it last January of this year and receive a letter of withdrawal and now we are filing again.

amd we are confuse where to find that A#? or are we correct in saying yes to that question since he filed me that but withdrawn?

Please enlighten us on this part.

Thank you very much.

Jen

The withdrawal letter we received has an A# on it.

This is our question. How did we get an A#?

What is an A#? where and when do we receive one?

That letter that confirms petition withdrawal has an A# on top right of letter.

Is this our A# and what does it mean?

We are confuse of this A#.

It's the "alien number" - a number assigned to the beneficiary at the beginning of the process if they don't already have one. Once they receive an alien number, it's theirs for life.

What is an A# ?

When is it issued?

Does it stay the same?

Does it identify Fiance?

Babydoll and I petitiond for K-1 Visa but withdrew it just before NOA2

I receive a letter which confirmed receipt of my request to withdraw petition and on the upper right was an A#

Now we are in the process of re-applying for K-1 and Question 11 ask if Ihave EVER applied before and if so list names date and place applied and A#

Also I-129F question 9B ask for A#

Do I put the A# that was on the withdrawal confirmation letter?

Just want to get things right BEFORE I reapply

Thanks!!!

Thanks Evylin!!

So the A# that was on my confirmation letter for withdrawal would Identify my fiance?

So I would in fact list that number where it ask for A# if any? correct?

Correct. If you were issued an A number, then you must list that on the form. It's tied to the beneficiary (your fiance) now.

Thanks so much!!!

I suspected as much but was not sure.

What would I do without VJ and people like yourself?

I looked on my NOA1 but saw nothing that listed an A#

We were only weeks away from NOA2 when I withdrew so maybe that's why I received an A# for my fiance?

Thanks again!!!

Yes, it's first listed on the NOA2. Your fiance had likely already been assigned one at the time you'd withdrawn your petition, so they included it on your cancellation notice. It's a number that you'll need a few times throughout the process.

Yes it was REALLY heart breaking to cancel after waiting so long and being so close!

Now we're at the back of the line again! lol

But MAYBE with an A# already it might speed things up??? (wishful thinking?)

It won't have any impact on the process, unfortunately. It just means they don't have to assign you a new one.
