A somewhat silly question due to strange circumstances.

It's regarding the g-325a biographical information form.

There is a section there that asks to list my residence in the last five years.

So here's the thing... my wife and I arrived in the states about 9 months ago and during the first 6 months or so we changed addresses about 10 times! :wow:

The reason is that we were looking for creative ways to live in New York on a budget, until I found full-time work which would enable us to rent an apartment and settle down. So we offered live-in pet-sitting to people who planned on leaving town for a couple of weeks or more and needed someone to look after their dog/s or cat/s. Word got around and we found ourselves moving from one apartment to the next, taking care of dozens of pets. It was fun, but tiring. Eventually I did find work and now we're finally living in a (more permanent) place of our own.

:ot2:

So maybe you can see why I'm a bit hesitant about what to put down as residence of last 5 years. Just the last one year can fill those 5 lines they provide three times over. Do you think we should list all of the homes we lived at? Even if it was just for a week or two? And if not, how can I explain the gaps in time between one apartment and the other?

I know it's a silly issue and probably not so important, but I don't want to create problems for myself and for my wife's immigrant visa process.

Thanks ! .. and sorry about the long story

Thank you.

I have just one other small question also regarding form g-325a.

I'm a US citizen, my wife is not and we're concurrently filing the i-130 form with the adjustment of status package.

As I understand, we each need to fill form g-325a.

Towards the end of the form it asks:

This form is submitted in connection with an application for:

- Naturalization

- Status as Permanent Resident

- Other

Then it asks for signature of applicant

Then it says:

Applicant: Print your name and Alien Registration Number in the box outlined by heavy border below.

So my questions are as follows:

1. My wife doesn't currently have an Alien Registration Number. So does she just leave that blank?

2. What should I write for my form? I am submitting it in connection with an application for Status as Permanent Resident, but I'm not the applicant, my wife is. And surely, I don't have an Alien Registration Number.

What is the correct way to fill this part out?

Thanks!

1) The USC must fill out one G-325A and the spouse must complete 2 G-325A's (one for the I-130, one for the I-485).

2) Never leave anything blank, simply write "None" or "N/A".

3) Unfortunately the USCIS has this "one-size fits all" mentality when it comes to forms and correspondence and as you can see, it just isn't always the case. However, you still print your name even though you are the petitioner, write "None" or "N/A" for the A# and then sign and date.

We checked "status as permanent resident" for both G-325A forms for USC husband and for me.

For Alien registration we put "N/A" also for both forms.
