Hi everyone I want to ask few questions and hope I can find a comforting answer!

My mom just got approved today and I found out that me and my husband missed a $159 last year's income in the specific amount of the poverty guidelines. Now my question is: Do we really need a co-sponsor? Do you think if Ill submit the I-864 w/o the co-sponsor they will deny my mom? Im a little bit worried about all this whole process. Me and my husband both have a job, the thing is I work as part time right now because of the baby situation. If my mom gets here I will surely be working full-time. I hope somebody can share their opinions. Thanks in advance!!

This year's income is what matters, not last year's (unless you and/or husband is self-employed).

Yes, if you do not meet the minimum then a joint sponsor will be needed or you can use assets to make up the income shortfall.
