Hello Everybody,

Me and my wife are trying to prepare the package for the I-485 AOS Forms and we are a bit confused about some of the information that she has received and the actual package. She did her medical check in Russia before coming here and I just wanted to confirm a couple of things.

True or False? - Medical form done in Russia is valid for one year?

Second thing is her Vaccination Documentation Worksheet i.e DS-3025 Form has been filled out by a doctor in Russia that was suggested by DOS. But in the Results section of the worksheet it says Vaccination history is incomplete and she was unable to receive vaccinations because she was breastfeeding at the time. Will she need to still go see a Civil surgeon here in the US or this information, If you are K-1 fiancee or K-2 dependent who had a medical examination within the past year as required for the nonimmigrant fiancee visa, you only need to submit a vaccination supplement, not the entire medical report. You may include the vaccination supplement with your I-485, is correct and we only need the DS-3025 (Vaccination Documentation Worksheet) Form. All valid and accurate info is welcomed. Thanks for your time everybody.

The medical is good for one year. Sounds like the vaccinations were not complete and will most likely need to be done by a civil surgeon with and updated form.

Her vaccinations were not complete at the time of her medical, so you need to find a civil surgeon to get the missing vaccinations and have the rest transcribed onto an I-693. The medical is the part that is good for a year, and she does not need a whole new medical, just the vaccinations. The I-693 instructions state you need to have PAGE 1 and the vaccinations portion (page 5 I believe) filled out. You may have to call around to several civil surgeons before you find one that will not insist on giving a new medical, whole or parts of it. You might even need to call some that are farther away from your home to find one that won't rip you off.

See this thread to see if there are any listed near you: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/231026-civil-surgeons-who-dont-rip-you-off/
