Hi,

I'm freaking out a lot... I'm frequently checking my case online and it's just not moving forward.

It still says, that on may 9th they mailed out the RFE, which I received on may 13th. 2 days later I sent the requested translation of my birth certificate to the address named on the notice.

It's been almost a month, I had my biometrics appointment may 29th but there's nothing happening on My Case Status! They don't state that the received the evidence, I dind't get any further notice, and I called the customer service center twice (both times they couldn't say anything at all, quote: "We don't have any information about your case besides that it is pending.")

I'm really nervous since I didn't make any copies of the RFE letter and what if they didn't receive it and dismiss my application? I don't know what to do anymore...

The site should have been updated to show that they received your response to their RFE, however this does not always happen and as a result the online status is not completely reliable.

I would make an Infopass appointment at your local office in El Paso and ask an officer there face-fo-face about the status of your case and to double-check the RFE was received.

Hi Sophie, woher aus Deutschland kommst du? Ich schreibe jetzt auf Englisch fuer die anderen, die das vielleicht lesen werden :D

I'm kind of going through the same thing right now. I'm an idiot and forgot to include the biometric fee, so I got a letter (I imagine it looked like any RFE) saying I needed to pay the fee. I sent a copy of the letter with the fee, and a week or so later I got a receipt saying that I didn't owe any more money.

My online status for the I 485 and I 130 still say last updated 3/16/2012 and the status still says "On March 15, 2012, a fingerprint fee deficiency notice for this case I485 APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS was mailed to you advising you that we have not received the finger print fee, the correct amount, or a signed check or money order. The notice provided you with instructions to follow to submit the necessary payment. Please submit the required payment as soon as possible or we will not be able to resume processing of this case."

I called and they said that sometimes the cases get transfered right away, and then they don't update the online system anymore. I have stopped worrying about it, but I'm wondering how much longer it will take. I guess if I haven't heard anything for another month or two, we will probably try to set up an Infopass appointment.

Oh I forgot to add, my wife has since received her EAD/Advance parole card.

5/2011 Met my wife, she was on a J1

2/25/2012 Married

3/07/2012 Sent I-130,I-485,I-765,I-131 to Chicago lockbox

3/16/12 NOA1 received along with notice that Biometric fee was missing

3/25/12 received receipt that biometric fee had been accepted

4/16/12 Biometric Appointment

5/14/12 EAD/AP card received

Still waiting for update on I-130/I-485

Thank you guys!

I still didn't get any letter that states, that they received the document, but today I checked online and it says, that an interview appointment has been scheduled for next month! I'm so excited that finally there seems to be a light at the end of the tunnel! Now we just have to "pass" the interview, but I won't freak out about that...yet ;)
