Why are Mod's so quick to close down Threads? Great Topic closed which had a great deal to do about Immigration. Because a couple bad apples respond, it gets closed? Isn't this America? Freedom of Speech? There were no personal attacks. RE-OPEN!!!!!

Threads are usually closed for one of three reasons:

- OP requests it

- Topic has completely changed from the opening post/ has become off topic in the immigration forums.

- Multiple TOS violation and continuance of same after in-thread warnings.

Just because "this is America" doesn't mean that people don't have to abide by rules. If rules are broken, or people violate the Terms of Service they agree to when participating in forums like this, then threads get closed. You can't shout "FREEDOM OF SPEECH!" as a reason to let anyone say whatever they'd like and there be no consequences.

Personally telling President Obama that you do not agree with his policies is Freedom of Speech. Calling Brock Lesnar a D-Bagger is as well, however prepare to get spanked like a 4 year old in K-Mart.

I forgot my laughing icon next to the Freedom and America bit...... Yes B. Lessner is a D-bag.. And I understand that rules are needed to abide by on a site like this, but what was this particular infraction for why the Thread was closed? I clearly don't understand is why I put the comment out there. It said it was under Review and I would say there has been plenty of time to review the Thread, so why not open back up?

There were a number of reports sent in about said thread so it was closed for review. During that process the OP requested that it remain closed.... which is noted in the thread itself. Penguin had actually answered your question in Post #3.
