Hi all,

I am a F-1 graduate student and will be getting married to my wife who is a US citizen in two weeks. We plan to file the necessary papers for green card but do not know how to go about it. I also do not want to make use of a lawyer. I will appreciate it if you guys can put me through a step by step process of how to file the necessary documents.

Adjustment of Status guide

Study this guide like it's your final exam.

It'll save you time, stress and $3000 for a lawyer.

Thanks you so much for this. It is really helpful. There is also an issue with my wife tax, I just posted that too, I will papreciate it if you can check it out and advise..Thanks again.

The most recent tax return is required. If she hasn't filed it, she should file it immediately. It's fully possible to back file.
