They say expect 1-3 months for the interview but when do they send out Pk 4?

and is the notice for interview date is in Pk 4 or is it sent separately?

2011 March 27: 2nd Visit

2011 Sept 9: 3rd Visit - Proposed!!!

2011 December 9: NOA1

2011 December 13: Touched

2012 March 3: 4th Visit

2012 May 7: NOA2 (150 days since NOA1)

2012 May 8: Touched

2012 May 21: NVC Arrived

2012 May 23: NVC Left to US Saigon Consulate

2012 May 23: Rec'd NVC Letter in the Mail

2012 June 6: Rec'd Pk 3

2012 June 13: US Saigon Consulate Rec'd Pk 3

2012 July 14: Packet 4 Arrived

2012 August 31: Interview Day

2012 October 16: Arrived to the U.S.

2012 October 19: Got Married!

AOS

2013 January 22: Filed AOS I-485/EAD/AP.

2013 January 29: NOA1

2013 January 30: Check Cashed.

2013 February 28: (Walk-in on February 7) Biometrics Appt.

2013 April 3: AOS interview.

2013 March 21: EAD and AP Approved.

2013 April 3: Interview - Approved!

2013 April 8: Green Card in production.

Pkt 4 includes the interview date and what you need to bring to the interview.. its posted on the HCMC consular website.. its a good idea to have the list addressed as early as possible, but you need pkt 4 to get the medical... call DoS regularly to see when pkt 4 has been sent and when it has the rep will also be able to tell you the interview date..then you know to look for pkt 4 in the mail...

Our case just received by HCMC. I'm wondering if I should go ahead and mail in the package 3 right now, or we'd have to wait for them to snail mail it out first. Thoughts?

I-129F NOA2 : 2012-05-15

NVC Received : 2012-06-22

NVC Left : 2012-06-28

Consulate Received : 2012-07-02

Packet 3 Received : Called DOS on 07/3 and package 3 sent out. We didn't wait for the "physical" package. My fiance' mailed DS2001 and DS230 part I

out the next day via EMS. You don't have to wait for pkg3. You can download and fill it out ahead of time.

Packet 3 Sent : 2012-07-04

Consulate Received pkg 3: 2012-07-06

Have to wait until they 'send' pkt 3.. before that will get returned..
