Hi everyone! Just sharing I guess. I got a RFE on my email on Friday. Do you guys think it'll be on the mail by tomorrow Monday or Tuesday? I hope so.

(I'm currently visiting my fiancé in the US)

This sucks. I'm hoping it won't delay the process a lot.

To start getting ready I've saved together in one folder more pictures of the two of us, emails from his mom and his sister, and all the plane tickets (when he went to my home country to live with me, when we visited his family here together, and two times that I came to his town).

When people get a RFE is it always due to lack of evidence? Or are there other reasons?

When people get a RFE is it always due to lack of evidence? Or are there other reasons?

The only reason you would receive an RFE would probably be due to the absence of any pictures at all or inadequate evidence that a meeting took place in the past 2 years. They don't care about emails or relationship evidence. Only that a meeting has occurred. And of course including the other standard parts of the application. Hopefully they didn't lose any of your documents =/

1/24/12 - Touched

2/09/12 - Touched

8/02/12 - NOA2 (197 Days After Received at VSC)

8/14/12 - Received at NVC (Assigned Case Number)

8/16/12 - Departed from NVC

8/20/12 - Arrived in US Embassy Kiev

8/28/12 - Information Received from Embassy via mail

9/12/12 - Interview (Approved)

9/19/12 - Visa Received via Elin Ltd. (FedEx)

10/05/12 - POE

well, you didn't get an RFE.

The USCitizen, the Petitioner, is getting an RFE soonish.

You can decide to assist him, when the letter shows up via postal mail.

When I got the email update of impending RFE, the physical letter didn't come quite that quickly. Give it a week or so...

They are NOT always due to lack of evidence. Its a guessing game until you get the hardcopy. Mine took about 5 days.

08/01/12-Married08/17/12-Applied for Social Security Card09/23/12-Husband received his Social Security card!09/27/12-Filed AOS09/28/12-AOS package received10/01/12-Text message from USCIS10/03/12-Check cashed10/09/12-NOA1 for I485,I765,I131 AND Biometrics Appointment Letter10/24/12-Biometrics Appointment12/11/12-EAD and AP Approved-75 days12/14/12-EAD/AP Card Production ordered12/21/12-EAD/AP Card came in the mail06/22/13-Green Card Approved06/27/13-Greed Card Production Ordered06/29/13-Green Card came in the mail<p>

04/09/15-Mailed ROC

04/10/2015-Package received

04/14/2015-Check cashed

06/02/2015-Called Service Center (still no NOA1) Service request found out wrong address on paperwork! :(

06/03/2015-Called to get address updated Ar11 online add change didnt work-got infopass for June 10th

06/10/2015-Went to info pass appt. Hubby got a 1yr. Extension stamp in his passport and biometrics done

08/12/2015-ROC Approved. Got letter in the mail.

08/29/2015-received new card in the mail.

I sent dated pictures and boarding passes of the both of us in the same flight sitting next to each other. Anyways, I'll wait and see. Thanks for warning me about the wait.

Hello from CANADIAN beneficiary in Vancouver.

We got an RFE. (I say we because we are in this together).good.gif

It's not a huge deal. Ours was for lack of evidence. Once we sent everything off, our 1-129F was approved within 6 days.

Notification of RFE was from the USCIS site, April 11th. Physical notice received by USC April 22nd.

You're given a timeline of 3 months to reply to the RFE.

Just wait and see what the notice/letter is asking for, and send them what they want.
