Hi, I'm planning to file for DCF for my fiance..when we become married. I'm previously divorce and working to file my papers. Here's my thing, Do I have to change my last name back to my Surname and change everything from passports etc befor I file the DCF???

Or can my Divorce paper proof Im divorce but did not change my name in my US Passport. Everything was under my Ex-'s last name from my school. Btw, I'm a nursing student.

So, can I leave it as it was and change everything when I go home???

your divorce papers tell you if you have to change your surname back. but i think its up to you if you want to keep your surname. your divorce papers will be your proof of divorce, so always keep a copy close by till you are finished with the whole processes.

I would like to ask question about the divorce issue. Does anyone know what interview questions are asked when there are US Divorce papers present. (DCF in Manila)

I'm in the same both with you. From what I read, the CO won't ask you, just present your divorce paper. And some CO, will ask you only if you were married 2 or 3 times. I'm working on getting my divorce paper and filing this OCT. Been seperated since last yr 03/2011, just never had time to go home and file since I'm studying here in Manila.

Hope that helps.

Ok yes, you will need to get those for sure. My Filipino wife of the last 2.5yrs will be interviewed and I wanted her to be prepared if they ask her about my divorce in the states back in 2007. I am my wifes only husband and I don't want her to be burdened with having to answer questions about my past. She knows everything about my past, but I would like her to be prepared for any uncomfortable situation.

Thx for your replies
