K-1 visa with kids

I searched many pages FIRST, but couldn't find any answers to my questions. I know it's aggrevating for the old-timers to continually answer the same things over and over again.

Here it is...A female friend is bringing her fiance from Colombia with his 2 kids to the U.S. . The natural mother is O.k. with this, so no problems there.

Here are the questions.....She said the kids don't need to attend the interview in Bogota...but do the kids who are 8 & 9 years old need to take the medical exam in Bogota? Or do they have one done somewhere else? If they need to take it in Bogota, I assume they need to pay the same amount as the father...correct?

I've seen conflicting advice.....The kids are named on the I-129f (which has been approved already). They are coming over to the U.S. with the Father. Do the kids need to fill out separate paperwork to get their visas?....do the kids need to pay any additional money for the visas? (which forms and the amounts?...if needed.)

What does the natural mother need to sign? A notarized paper saying the Father can take the kids?....or something else or an additional paper? The two were never married, but he is listed on their birth certificates as their father.

You would have to check with that embassy/consulate but normally yes they do need medicals, same price as an adult. The fee for the visa is the same for them as the adult. And yes the other parent would need to give written permission for them to leave the country.

Any forms that come in packet 3 (before the interview) will state which ones need to be filled out for the kids.

The visa for the kids (K-2) wil be issued at the time the same time the K-1 is approved and issued. All fees wil be collected a the same time. So nothing additional per se.... Are the kids riding on the father's passport?

YMMV

Yes the children will need a medical exam, but the cost is normally less for a child under age 16 than what an adult pays and they will have them done by the same medical facility as the parent. The children will need to submit visa applications and pay the application fee. Normally needed things are passports, U.S. passport type photos, certified birth certificates. I would check with the embassy to see what is specifically needed.
