Hello everyone! could u please help me! I'm trying to find out how to find a job in construction sphere, that will provide H1B visa sponsorship. I am asking to help my friend. He wants to try to work in the US. He has a lot of engineering experience (including construction of all kinds of buildings, developing construction projects etc), Masters degree in Civil Engineering. Is it even possible to get this visa for this kind of job? He is a very talented guy. I feel so sorry for him, because he can't find a job that will let him use all of his skills (because of the job situation in his country)

thank you very much in advance! any advice will be appreciated!

Noah: They could ask Congress to discontinue/tighten up the H-1b program.

OP: A master's degree in civil engineering should make him fully eligible for an H-1b. Finding an employer who is unable to find qualified willing and able Americans/permanent residents will be the tricky part.

i would say they should look for a job. everyone has a right to get one. And one temporary job for a foreigner will not deprive the rest

Well, be sure to mention that to any of your friends or neighbors who are out of work...I'm sure they'll be pleased to know that you wish to help someone who is not one of your fellow countrymen....

Actually, the 'right' to work in the US of A is not granted to the world at large....

OP - also please rememeber that H-1B is temporary workers visa - it does not equal to permanent residence neither provides clear path to obtaining it.

There is nothing more permanent than a temporary worker.

Linkedin seems a good place to start.

Networking through colleagues.

Get a job with a major mutinational that has a US presence and get them to transfer you.
