Many indigenous peoples had been displaced and uprooted from their lands. Some of them faded away into the sunset, some didn't. Life ain't fair.

However, most indigenous people fight for their rights. And the right to return to one's homeland is a basic human right upheld by international law.

Yah well, I want a billion dollars. You don't always get what you want.

Are you legally entitled to a billion dollars ?

If the US offered this to illegals, we'd officially be in Greek territory.

It's actually less expensive than the cost and manpower involved in rounding them up and detaining them for deportation.

One person's homeland today is somebody else's homeland tomorrow.

It would cost less than the amount of money we've added to our national debt this week.

11 Billion I think...does that add up right?

It's actually less expensive than the cost and manpower involved in rounding them up and detaining them for deportation.

This is true, I think it costs 20,000 USD per person to deport (legal proceedings etc.)

And once illegals got the word they were being paid to leave the borders would be over run with illegals looking for a quick payoff.

"I want to take this opportunity to mention how thankful I am for an Obama re-election. The choice was clear. We cannot live in a country that treats homosexuals and women as second class citizens. Homosexuals deserve all of the rights and benefits of marriage that heterosexuals receive. Women deserve to be treated with respect and their salaries should not depend on their gender, but their quality of work. I am also thankful that the great, progressive state of California once again voted for the correct President. America is moving forward, and the direction is a positive one."

But we're they businesses owned by immigrants, as you asserted earlier, or just businesses that happened to be where these protests took place?

Because if they were just any old businesses, then it's really little different from when OWS or G8 protestors have a hissy fit here in the USA. Idiots don't have to be Israeli to do really dumb stuff.

They would be shops owned by real immigrants, those with papers and status.

The hue and outcry covers the illegal aliens in the country, that fit a particular demographic.

IMO, the attacks were on the wrong demographic. Just because one is Black and African in Israel, means NOTHING till yer papers are read. Those Eithopian Jews, for example, IN ISRAEL, immigrated legally, with papers, are getting the brunt of the violence and destruction - simply because they are findable - they live in homes, flats, apartments, have jobs, own businesses..

ie - they not live in the tent cities where the illegal aliens live.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

Wife Of Mamoud, I just wanted to recognize and salute your esteem debating skills.

While most of the others were floundering about with nonsensical ramblings and stupendous claims, you stayed on course and never wavered and you backed up your ascertations with hard facts that are verifiable with official links.

Thanks for enlightening me on this sad matter. I'm saddened that part of my tax money is going to fund these atrocities.

Seems the Israelis learned well. Of any country in the world they should be the most TOLERANT.

Thank you. There was a lot of disinfo disseminated in here, as usual. However, much like a house of cards, hasbara collapses under the slightest puff of truth.
