Hi,

I'm currently working in the USA on a E2 VISA.

I have been offered a new job and they told me that since my E2 VISA is not transferable, I should wait till next January to apply for a new work visa.

Could you tell me if there is anything I could do to be able to accept this new offer before next year?

Thanks very much for you help!

You do not apply for a work visa, your Employer does.

Hi there - sorry if this is the wrong forum to be bringing this up in, but I noticed you're here already on an E2 visa. My boyfriend is British and is about to apply for the same type (E2) of investor visa within the next few months. I as just wondering if you could give me a little bit of background on how the process was for you... how long did it take for you to receive the visa/how much money did you need in your account in order for you to be approved/etc. We've met with two different lawyers now who both have told us different things...

This is a different type, E2 employee.
