My daughter just got her done on Monday. She is only 10 years old and only needed one shot and a TB test. With the TB test, you get your skin pierced and have to come back 2 days later for them to view the results of the skin test. So, we were there Monday morning, came back Wednesday morning for the TB test results, and returned to pick up the medical exam results Wednesday at 3:30pm. I recommend doing it early in case something comes up!

As a FYI, the Guangzhou clinic opens at 7:30, we arrived at 7:45. They were still setting up so they were fully staffed until around 8:00am. I recommend coming in around 8:20 or so if you don't get there before 7:30 since that is when they finished the people that were there before 7:30 waiting for them to open. Not too many people showed up between 7:30 and 8:00. Good luck!

Sure, my wife, my daughter and I came about a week early to Guangzhou(probably overdid it a little). We didn't want to miss the interview because of the medical exam not being completed. My wife called and they said it takes 1 business day but I guess that assumes they have a TB test done ahead of time. If you leave 3 business days and go first thing in the morning, you should be fine. I don't know the difference for adults and children but for my daughter they verified she had the vaccinations (and gave here any she was missing) and did some other minor stuff (height, weight, heart rate, eye exams, blood pressure, etc.).

Peter - we don't have that many folk here that get the medical work done in BeiJing, for them to report back on how long it takes, sorry.

Wish I had another answer for you.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

Cannot find an answer on "does it take one day or two days to get medical exam done in Beijing?" Some suggests vaccination takes two days, some says one day. Is it something related to age and gender? Wife: 35, son 9 years old. Please advise ...

My wife had her medical done in Beijing over a year ago. If I remember right, she took the overnight train to Beijing arriving on a Tuesday morning, did the medical that day and then ended up flying back Thursday night spending the res tof the time visiting family in Beijing. I don't think they were waiting on the TB test or vaccinations but 'just the paperwork'. Why Beijing required 2+ days and Guangzhou can do it in a day, is one of the many things in China that just don't make sense but after a while you just stop questioning.

My advice is if you are local to Beijing is to get it done there but if you need to travel, have it done in Guangzhou. The reason my wife went to Beijing was our interview was the day after a Chinese Holiday so we could not go a day early to get it done in Guangzhou since the clinic was closed.
