Hi everybody we are about to submit the I-30 just a few quick questions

I wish to pay using bank check for the I-30 is that possible?

My wife is living with in UK, and will be for another 3-5 months before she goes to USA to prepare things for me will that mess up our affidavit? ( I do also have a co sponsor)

Also as we have a foreign address will the process be expedited I heard that was a possibility?

Thanks everyone

Has your wife been living in the UK for more than 6 months? This is the only way it will be expidited.

It doesn't matter how long she stays in the UK with you as long as your co sponser has enough for their household, you, your wife and any depends (you may have).

Bank cheque is fine as long as it's a US bank. You cannot use a UK one.

My co sponsor is in the USA and will be covering the I-130 fee, but my wife and I are both living in the UK. It says on the USCIS website that people living outside the country should contact their consulate for payment, but my wife has been here too short a time to do DCF. So do we simply follow the payment instructions for someone living in the US? (i.e. a bank check in US dollars for the exact amount mailed with the I-130)

Thanks everyone :)

Send your I130 form to your co- sponsor and get them to draw the check. That's what we did.

Thanks for the advice everybody, My wife will stay in the UK with me, and she will travel back to USA a few months before completion of the whole process to get thing set up for my arrival. As it is our address in the UK I am hoping it gets expedited like JNEKG Case :) we will send our I-30 To my mother in law ( co sponsor) in the states and she will pay and send it off

Does everything I have said sound correct, I am just so worried i will mess it up. One more question what address do you send the I-30 to

Yes. You send the I130 to the Chicago lock box. You will have to make sure your mother in law has the right address. And make sure she couriers it to the lockbox so you know when it arrives.

Good luck and I hope you get auto expedited. Make sure you write a covering letter stating that your wife is residing with you abroad and use your OS address on all forms.

Best.

Nat
