Timeline

I just got sign into a 2 years contract with sprint and since am an immigrant and not yet have my credit establised, I was asked to pay a 150 dollar deposit which I did. So I would like to know if anyone think by having a contract agreement with sprint for 2 years will help established my credit????

Embassy admit having petition (interview date not known yet) 20th Oct 2005

Picked up package 4 at embassy 24 of Oct

Interview date: 19th January 2006 DENIED (221G)

Second interview: 3rd of Feb 2006 VISA APPROVED! Thank U Lord!!!

No...sprint does not report to the credit bureaus unless you break the contract. Try getting

secured credit cards....Bank of America has one. Secured credit cards are the best way

to go ....get a couple with $300 limits. Good luck

Jan 30, 2008 N400 Mailed off to the VSC!

Feb 2, 2008 N400 Received at VSC

Feb 6, 2008 Check Cashed!

Feb 13, 2008 NOA1 Received

Feb 15, 2008 Fingerprint letter received. (Feb 26th scheduled)

Feb 18, 2008 Mailed out the old Please Reschedule us for Biometics <sigh>...

Feb 27, 2008 Received the new scheduled biometrics.

Mar 15, 2008 Biometrics Rescheduled.

Sep 18, 2008 Interview Letter Recieved.

Nov 11, 2008 Interview Passed :-).

Nov 14, 2008 Oath Cerimony.

But...

It sorta sets record that you are responsible paying your bills. Having bills on your name does help when you apply for home loans (as back up documentation).

Kinda frustrating but I was asked by Verizon for $500 which I thought was totally outrageous.

Just curious...can you add someones name to the bill??I already have a verizon account, electric, etc. etc....

Wonder if that would help!?

I would think so.

We really didnt try, because the one time, the gas company did ask for a deposit just to add my name. Then I got a gym membership in which both our names were included, so we thought that would do it (as far as AOS, we werent thinking about credit at the moment).

You can try... I would highly recommend it.
