We are waiting for an interview date on the K1 visa in Bolivia. All the paper work has been at the Embassy for 2 months. I have received a very nice job offer and I am wondering how this will effect the rest of the paper work, if I were to change jobs. I have tried to search around for any other forms to fill out and I have not had any luck. Does any have any advice on this? Thanks in advance.

I am by far no expert, but as I see it, the interview will be based on the proof u already sent. If ur new job is better and pays more than the old one, might be a good idea to get the emnployment letter and send it to the recipient. Just a thought, Payato

11 Oct 06 - Case MNL783xxx received by Manila Embassy... guess NVC lied

26 Dec 06 - Received Packet 4

18-19 Jan 07 - Medical complete early, scheduled 8 Feb

19 Jan - CFO completed after SLE shots... have to go back for the stamp after visa approval

15 Feb 07 - Interview Approved

24 Feb 07 - Arrive at Honolulu POE

2 Apr 07 - Married, civil ceremony, mailed AOS

17 Apr 07 - Checks cashed for AOS & AP

22 Apr 07 - Filed Expedite for AP

8 May 07 - Biometrics Appt

8 May 07 - Filed complaint with local USCIS for no action on Expedite request

9 May 07 - AP Expedite approved via email

14 May 07 - received AP I-512L documents in the mail

25 Jun 07 - AOS Interview scheduled but cancelled due to deployment and family emergency

29 Nov 07 - Visited local USCIS to reschedule AOS interview

15 Jan 08 - Local USCIS finally forwards reschedule request after formal complaint

8 Feb 08 - Received new Interview date

28 Mar 08 - AOS Interview ..investigation reopened due to incorrect birthdate that was identified 05/07

16 Apr 08 - CRIS Notice of GC approval and welcome notice via email

25 Apr 08 - GC received finally!

15 Jan 10 - Mailed Lifting of Conditions Package

19 Jan 10 - Package received at VT USCIS

22 Jan 10 - Checked cashed by USCIS

26 Jan 10 - Received NOA dated 20 Jan 10

29 Jan 10 - Received NOA for Biometrics

Hello,

During my 30 years of employment I have changed jobs 5 times. If your current job is adequate in the eyes of the USCIS, you are good to go as long as all your paperwork is already on file. If you take another job by interview time and in the governments eyes it is financially equal/better, it makes no difference anyway. Only if the timing of your filing the statement of financial support, should it match with the job change, will it matter - your (potentially) new employer should give you a company letterhead statement of employment stating title, pay and date of employment. If the embassy has already received your paperwork (assumed, since you are waiting for the interview) then you are set - or have you yet to forward your financial support documents prior to the interview?

* I-693A done @ civil surgeon office 4-4, Maria's SS card rcvd 4-16,

* mailed AOS (Chicago) & EAD (Nebraska) paperwork 4-21

* rcvd USCIS receipts of paperwork 5-2, posted wedding pics on VJ 5-3

* Maria's AOS biometrics appointment 5-22, son's on 6-5, no update on EAD status yet

* rcvd AOS appointment 5-26, set for 7-9 in Bloomington,MN office

* applied for Maria's WI state ID 6-5 & card rcvd 6-11

* AOS approved @ 7-9 interview, told to expect green cards 5-30 days

* USCIS confirms approved A#s rcvd 7-14, 2 green cards rcd 7-23
