Just as you have been advised, the approved I-129F will be administratively closed at NVC in other words, your K-3 case will be closed and the approved I-130 will be processed as a IR-1/CR-1 case -- depending on the length of your marriage. The length of your marriage determines which visa you're issued. Yes, the petitioner (your husband) will be contacted by NVC for further precessing of the I-130.

thank you very much for the info..:)

so a k3 will be processed as an ir-1 or 2 if it has been approved by uscis

IR-1 or CR-1 -- depends on the length of marriage.

Once the I-129F is closed, it is no longer a K-3 case. The approved I-130 will continue to be processed, length of marriage will determine visa typed awarded. Click the link provided by ShawnKJuliet.

me and hubby filed for a k3 visa, both I-130 (NOA1) and I-129F (NOA2) has been approved both at the same day,.

so now we are waiting for a nvc..

but im kinda confused, if this noa1 and noa2 has been approved together, is this automatic we have a cr1 visa???

i read it in some forums, thats y im asking and im really confused bout it..

some of them say also that k3 visa is wasting time and money,.

and mostly of the filers choose the cr 1 visa..

do i need to worry about the k3 visa procedure??

I have been advised to read this many times and have read it. I am just waiting for someone here to say " that has happened to me" so i can feel more secure about my own situation. My lawyer urged me to file a k3 visa, and I believe he did so to see if it would speed up the process of my wife's visa, and if it did not then there would be an IR-1 filed. Anyone?

well if'n you've read http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/types/types_2993.html#5

then I not understand what yer issue is for 'wanting more proof', as that came directly from the Department of State.

Not me, not my drinking buddy, not the fella that grooms my horses or the fella that landscapes my yards, but

The Department of State.

What's up?

hello! I just wanted to say something about the K3 visa. All the people who advised you here were the people who helped me a lot about my K3 visa, friendly advice I'd rather push through CR1/IR1 visa because when you arrived here you will not think about the AOS anymore. It was a roller coaster ride until now for me because we have to spend a lot of money for the AOS. I hope this will help you decide. Thank you and God bless!!
