I was able to get a # a year ago and got to the department I wanted to talk to while I was in VN.. the problem is, they don't want to talk to you at all and will get really impolite if you were to use the same method.. They have a specific policy on communication now and AnhMap has provided you the resource you need...

ThankS for the reply guys.. I guess I just have to email them instead of calling

may take a few weeks to get a response... What do you need to find out? Calling DoS is often a good avenue..

I have not pay my IV or AOS fees yet and haven't send in IV or AOS form to NVC yet but since my case was expedite and it was granted, They send my case and file to Ho chi minh consulate. So I want it to talk to Consulate to see what I should now.

You will still need to pay those fees even though its expedited... get all of the paperork ready for the case when it gets to HCMC... DoS will be able to tell you wassup...

Call DoS Hotline and ask them for casefile status. Do this every two days. At some point, you'll hear a status of 'casefile opened' with HCMC IV unit, and it's THAT TIMETICK that's important - as the IV unit will be waiting on you. Prior to 'casefile opened' timetick? Not so much going on with yer case - it's in travel limbo from NVC to HCMC IV unit.

Good Luck !

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

If I recall correctly, If your case has been sent for direct consular processing. You will be making all the payments directly at the embassy.

 where was DCF mentioned? All family immigration in VN takes place at the consulate, not the Embassy...
