Just a heads up. We received Packet 4 for the K1 visa as an e-mail directing us to the Consulate website for forms and information we would need. It says they will not mail a paper version.

Is that new?

We received an email with the interview appointment and the link to the packet 4 forms.

Headed to GZ on Sunday, her interview is on Wednesday. Good luck at our July interview.

i think is something new if EVERY K-1 gets this, but

usually for 'postal mailing problems' GUZ IV will resend the appointment letter via email, if asked via their email portal.

if this is, indeed, a change, then yay for GUZ IV! I never understood why they not shift to 'all email, all the time' but I hope all is done like that in the future.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

AMEN!!!! The glacial pace of change by our government toward contemporary business practices, i.e., paperless processing, is indeed a welcome development.

Please note that you will not receive any appointment notice by mail as this email serves as the formal appointment notice for your immigrant visa interview. The Chinese translation for this appointment letter is as follows:

We received the packet 4 in the mail in February, so this is a recent change. It took a couple of weeks to arrive in the mail, so at first we thought we'd missed it and contacted the Embassy. They directed us to do the same thing: download the forms. I had previously downloaded the forms from their website and mailed them to my fiancee; I also e-mailed her the documents. But her lawyer told her that she had to wait for the forms to arrive in the mail. Imagine coming between a Chinese lady and the advice of her doctor or lawyer. I just smiled and waited for the forms to arrive in the mail...
