Quick, Easy, Cost Efficient way to get the NVC forms you need from Nigeria beneficiaries!

I have found an additional option for emailing “completed” forms to your spouse so they can sign the documentation (blue ink) and send back to you for the NVC process. The fastest courier in Nigeria (according to former VJ’ers with Nigerian beneficiaries) is EMS – Speedpost website address: http://www.emsng.com

I have found the simplest way to email forms is to change them to PDF format. Yes, I know many are already in PDF format, but these also do not allow you to save them. You have to fill them out and print them right away. So here is a simple solution:

There is a free application online called Cutie PDF that changes simple documents and forms to PDF format so you can email them. Cutie PDF is recognized as a second printer by your computer. Simply download the application to your system. Save it. Then complete the forms you need to email to your fiancée or spouse.

Select Print (do not use the printer icon), select to print as usual, but instead of selecting your printer, use the drop down menu to select Cutie PDF. Proceed to print the document as usual. When the document is ready (just seconds) your system will ask you where you would like to save it. I save mine to my desktop and delete it when I have emailed it.

Email your beloved and attach the files needed. They can print on their end, sign the documentation (in blue ink) and forward back to you by EMS Speedpost. Quick, Easy and Cost Efficient! You should have the forms and documents from your beneficiary in about a week.

The greatest thing about EMS Speedpost is the tracking number. You can trace the package right to your door step and it works great with our USPS system.

Nice writeup, should come in handy.

It's CutePDF and is downloadable at CutePDF.Com

You can also create a free account at Box.Com, create a shared fodler and you two love birds can have instant access to your documents in real time.

Thanks for the correction and the additional information. Does Box.com need the files saved in PDF format?

No worries Madam, we're all in this together.

Box takes any file extension.

What I really like about it is that you can upload (and track) new version of files, share with a password, etc

PS: If you have an iPhone then it has a nifty app.

I wanted to update you. My husband has opted to forward all the paperwork and police certificate back to me via FedEx. He said that he just does not trust Nigerian mail carriers. I forwarded paperwork to him before, about 1/2 inch think, and the cost was around $130 USD. I believe it weighed 2 pounds.

It's an option for things if you have no other choice or need it really fast.

And a plus, they hand delivered it to him at home within a week!

Okay...aggravated! The CUTE PDF will still NOT save the information into the forms as they will other forms online.

This was the final way I handled the DS-230 and DS-3032.

First I made sure on the DS-230 where it questions "did you have help completing this form" that I put my name, address and RELATIONSHIP (WIFE) to my husband.

Secondly, I took the steps below.

1) I completed the forms online, triple checked them and printed them out. Before closing the window, I checked over the document line by line just in case I had and error and had to print a corrected one out.

2) I took those printed documents and scanned them in to my email address as pdf document.

3) I simply emailed the attachment to my husband and he printed them out on his side. (He went to a cafe that he knew could make very clean copies.

Lastly, my husband 0signed the DS-3032 in blue ink then ensured he only signed part I of the DS-230 (also in blue ink). He printed and signed two copies (just in case the first packet might get lost ...God forbid!). He then gathered his additional information and Police Certificate and forwarded everything to me FedEx. I received them at my job in 4 days. I opted to have them delivered to my job because I live in a rural area.

Hope this bit of info helps someone else in the same situation.

I would advise you to ensure you complete the section on the DS-230 where it asks "did you have any help completing this form". Putting your (petitioner) name and address there along with your relationship (husband/wife) will show the NVC you completed the paperwork.

Girl thanks for that. I do need to get him the original petition packet so he can have that to review.

Fedex I know is my only solution. USPS hmmm but maybe if I do priority mail and such.

Still hoping the cell phone gets there.

Thanks again. So excited for u. Just be ready for a fast interview. Maybe with a month once u r complete.
