So you are saying that getting a book signed by the first lady is part of the constitution? I had no idea that was part of the 15th amendment. :bonk:

:rofl::thumbs:

Perhaps the poster is making a case for a new amendment! rofl.gifrofl.gif

You must have missed the bolded and underlined section when you perused through and just focused on the last sentence. And if I was on VJ when a previous First Lady was being a hypocrite, I would have posted similar content.

My post was a tongue in cheek reminder that the FLOTUS do not make these decisions. As their husbands, security matters are under the exclusive domain of the Secret Service.

As such, Michelle Obama is treated no differently that any previous FLOTUS. She is as much a hypocrite and racist as any of her predecessors.

In essence, you're barking at the wrong tree...

Maybe they should change it so that all voting locations have SS present? That way we will know all the poll workers will be safe from attack!

I'd go one step further and demand that ach citizen in this country be assigned a SS detail. Let's all be hypocrite and racists!

Keep cherry picking, it shows your level(see: lack thereof) of reading comprehension skills. :bonk: Read again, it's discriminatory to produce ID to vote, but not to buy a book? If you have an ID to buy a book, then you'd have one to vote then? But that is not what the crux of my argument is, all I am saying that the entire LIB argument against it is

HYPOCRISY.<----Period

Again read my post, I am not in favor of a voter ID bill, but the argument that it is racist and discriminatory to require such is weak, there are other arguments that one could make against that bill idea with out going straight to the racist option.

Thanks for the insult, there's no need for that, I assure you it is you that is cherry picking. Voting is a constitutional right that is not subject to being monitored by the SS. If you can't comprehend the difference then all I can say is I feel sorry for you.

You can buy any book you wish without showing ID, except when paying with a credit card in which case the cashier may ask to see ID.

I had to show my ID at the grocery store only the other day! The horror! The humanity!!!!!

It is really sad that after so many years, there are those who are still experiencing the self-imposed afflictions of accepting a educated youngmiddle-aged black woman as FLOTUS.

Fixed it for you. I couldn't care less what colour she is, I still don't like her and I think Obama is friggen useless... so were most of the other Presidents... that's why it shouldn't be a popularity contest, the best person doesn't always win the job.

Big Dog you have the wrong idea of my suggestion. My suggestion is that I find it very hypocritical that to require ID for someone to vote would be discriminatory and racist, but to buy a book and get an autograph it is not any of those things. I'm sorry you couldn't deduce that as well, without me having to re-clarify.

Your suggestion is blatant bullshite. How can you even begin to compare a right (the right to vote) with a privilege (having a book signed)? That makes no sense whatsoever. Get it?

Yes I think I finally get it. The idea of producing an ID for a right is discriminatory and racist. The idea to produce an ID for a privilege is not racist, nor discrimination. I can see how you get to that conclusion by changing the variable (right -vs- privilege) where as my variable is: an ID card. Get it? Unfortunately you think this suggestion is bullshite. I don't know how much clearer I can make it. And you can't make it any clearer either, you're talking constitution, I'm talking about an ID card. Is there a middle ground? For example: the idea to produce an ID card is not racist.

There are other more compelling arguments against a voter ID bill that do not invoke the racist option.

Anyhow for the upteenth time, I find the entire racist/discrimination argument to be weak in most cases. It's like the nuclear option or using kids as a weapon in a divorce. It ends all intelligent debate and the ability to get to a clear, definitive solution. Maybe I should post pics of myself and kids to show that we appear as if we could be the children and grandchildren of BO...

Why are you getting mad with Michelle Obama rather than the SS? She doesn't dictate what they do, your argument is weak at best.

it shows your level(see: lack thereof) of reading comprehension skills.

Anyhow for the upteenth time,

This shows your inability to spell, yet you insult me and call me stupid?

You finally got it. That is why you need to have proper ID when driving a car, for driving is a privilege, whereas voting is not.

Besides, this FLOTUS is bound to the same security measures of previous ones, measures which are set by the Secret Service.
