Changing Interview Location

As there is no US embassy in Iran, we have choices between, UAE, Italy and I think Austria. My file, according to the officer I called, is going to be reviewed next week. I have chosen UAE on the I129F form. Now I'm thinking about changing to Naples, Italy, because it seems to interview much faster than UAE. My question is what is the best way to do that, and whether it would delay my case.

Thank you.

Hi,

Yes, it'll delay your case, but few weeks only. For sure Italy is a good option if your fiance have a Schengen Visa!

Good Luck

Thank you. I'm sure we can get a visa once we have an appointment letter. Do you know how I can do that? I think it's not at the NVC stage yet, it should be very easy to change with not much effect, but I'm just guessing.

I'm sure you'll get your NOA2 very soon, since your NOA1 was in January. So, just wait till the NVC receive your case (you should keep calling them when you get your NOA2), send them an email or a letter and ask them to change your embassy. I agree they will issue the Schengen Visa, but make sure to make an appointment in Italy embassy as well. It's summer time and embassies are so BUSY!

Remember, the "new" embassy must agree to change. It's not guaranteed.

Why Italy and Austria? Then obtaining a Schengen visa would add up to problems! Is your fiance living in Iran? Why not Abu Dhabi or Ankara? I went to Abu Dhabi and it was very great. Ankara is good too!
