Hi All,

I have seen a few threads on here asking whether others have experienced difficulties visiting the US whilst going through the K1 process and I just came back from a 10-day visit with no problems so wanted to add my experience for the benefit of others. I had put together plenty of evidence of my ties to the UK just in case (copy of I-129F, employment letter, bills etc.) but none of it was required. I'm glad I had it for piece of mind though! I arrived through Dallas Fortworth airport and entered via the visa waiver programme. I was asked the following questions:

1. What is the purpose of your visit? Vacation.

2. Where are you staying? With my fiance.

3. Is your fiance already here in the US? Yes he is a US citizen.

4. How long are you staying? 10 days.

5. What is your occupation? Solicitor (Attorney).

That was it. I was a little nervous that thr word fiance would ring an alarm bell but it was all over in two mins with the finerprint test etc. All very painless. I hope its the same way next time as i'm planning a few more short visits before I hopefully receive the K1 visa around the end of this year.

Hey, thanks for sharing!

I've visited my wife three times on the VWP since we got married, twice after filing I-130.

First entry (IAD) before filing.

What's the purpose of your trip? 16 day vacation.

Friends? Family? Wife.

Wife? Where is she? She worked in Alaska this summer, and meeting me here at the airport.

Any items to declare? Just chocolate.

*stamp* Have a nice day.

Second entry (EWR) after filing.

What's the purpose of your trip? Vacation, 12 days.

When is your flight out to California? In an hour.

When was the last time you were in the US? September of last year.

Are you meeting people out in California? Yes, we're going on a cruise.

*stamp* Have a nice day.

Third entry (VCV) after filing. Entered with my wife at the same booth.

How are you guys related? We're married.

Do you have ESTA? Yes, I have ESTA.

When are you going back home? On Tuesday.

I'm putting your US stamp in front of the Canadian stamp so it looks better. (My wife) Can I have a stamp too?

You're a US citizen.. And I already gave your husband one! Fine. Here you go.

*stamp* have a nice day, and don't come back asking for more stamps!
