There are lots of May filers... Lol I'm not sure they actually use this particular forum. My husband filed on the 10th May for me and my youngest son, our priority date was 11th, but it took a nearly 2 weeks to receive the hard copy in the mail.

It's depressing seeing how many Jan filers still haven't received the NOA2 and it's June... It doesn't bode well for us.

Hey All!

I'm a fellow May filer! Glad I have company to endure the wait with!! I am living in Hong Kong now with my wife. I was supposed to return to the US for school in August 2012, but it doesn't look like that's going to happen. I don't really want to separate as I have dealt with that many times in the past already - not fun.

I just wish the US would let people in to wait with their spouse for processing. I'm already filing for this visa, therefore, I want to do it legally. Just let me spouse in with me while we wait so we don't have to search desperately for loopholes! Anyone feel the same frustration?!

YES! I was crying over the same thing ... there is a way k1 k3 visa but ironically they are even further behind with processing date of 9 months .. go figure how that works lol... I asled same thing n the reason they wont let the spouses in is because once tgey are in legally they can file for AOS adjustment of status .. whoch would mean they can legally stay until approval or denial ... omg the irony again oh well lets wait our turn... :/ hopefully it will go by

Yeah, I read up on the K3, but I thought it was dead now. (If it is slower than the IR-1/CR-1, then that kinda defeats its purpose anyways). Wow, so you can file for AOS once you enter on another visa (i.e. tourist visa)?! Hmmmm... interesting... But, I've already read up on the difficulty of entering on a tourist visa once the spouse visa is already in process. We wouldn't be able to prove "strong ties" back to HK, and I would hate to have them send her back at the POE.

Well, I guess we just have to wait in line then. But I still think its really stupid. I'd like to talk to some important immigration person to get them to change the rules.

Does anyone know if getting an RFE means that an officer is about to approve/deny your petition? I got an RFE on June 18th (finally came in the mail yesterday). I am hoping to respond in a few days, then I am hoping that my petition will be approved shortly after the CSC receives it. Is my thinking correct?!

Hi guys! We filed ours May29, 2012 and they received it (according to the email we received) May 31. We got email June 6, but the hardcopy of NOA 1 is dated June 4.. My hubby is a US Citizen and living now in US and I am a Pinay living here in PI. My hubby is a pure blooded Filipino but a USC by birth.. He went back after his vacation here last April.. We just got married. 2days our wedding, he left. He has to. (sad). He called USCIS today. They asked him our receipt number, he gave. The lady told him its on process now. He asked how long will it take for approval. The lady said within 5 months. Hubby asked if there's a way or chance it'll get approved earlier than 5 months, the lady told him yes. Well, all we have to do really is wait. Hoping for faster approval.. I'm praying for our papers to have faster processing in CSC. God bless!
