There is no penalty for throwing away junk mail

PULL I-864 NOW! And we mean NOW.

It may be a good idea to only speak with your husband through emails and texts and limit how often you guys meet face to face IN PUBLIC/WITH AN AUDIENCE (less you're later accused of abuse/he threatens or abuses you)

Someone answer this. If and or when she gets the envelope containing the greencard, what should she do with with? And what are the penalties if she opens mail (addressed to her husband) pertaining to his immigrant status?

i don't get it.

If I were in your shoes I wouldn't trust him at all! He treated you very, very poorly. Maybe you are considering to accept him back, but you need to ask yourself if the trust can be restored and how much you feel betrayed, and you will find your own answers. Good luck.

Don't be so sure that he has no idea of you AOS withdrawl.

After everything you've been through with him why would you give him the benefit of doubt?

At this point the best think yo can do is to always treat him as your enemy and never trust him.

NEVER EVER EVER be alone with him.

* If he shows up at your house don't open the door, ask him to leave and call the cops if he refuses.

* If you must meet him make it a public place and bring a friend. Record the meeting, audio recorder in you purse is legal everywhere for in person meetings in public places.

* If you must talk to him on the phone get a google voice number and use that. Notify him at the beginning of the call "I may record this conversation, by continuing to participate in the call you are consenting to the recording.

* Save every single e-mail between you and him.

Of course I hope you've filed for divorce already and taken steps to protect your finances.

I have done everything i need to do to protect myself. He doesnt know I withdrew my support paperwork, but he is now wanting to work things out. He is under the impression that he can get his greencard without me so he says doesnt that prove that he loves me..well i dont think so..anyway i did what i needed to do..sorry to stay I am still struggling with all of this.

How do you know he wants to work things out? Are you in regular contact with him still?? If so why??

If you keep contact with him, you're only digging yourself a deeper hole in this mess and before you know it, you won't be able to climb out.

There is absolutely no way I would maintain contact with anyone threatening to "f>ck me over" if I tried to mess with him- oh yeah and not to mention the death threat! WHY are you entertaining ANY contact with him? I'm baffled.

But, we must all remember she is not to blame for any of this.

Yes, she is. She was naive and allowed him to keep on hurting her. She is the main person to be blamed, and it is time for her to step up and take responsability.

Like others have said, why is the OP still in contact with her ex. He is setting her up big time and she still refuses to see it. She isn't protecting herself, she is leaving herself wide open to a scam and to be so badly hurt. Don't get me wrong, I understand how hurt and confused the OP is right now, but also now is not the time to be thinking with the heart, but with the head. Not only could she be in physical danger, but she could be in financial danger too.

Seriously woman you need to open your eyes and start thinking with your brain not your heart.

Thank you everyone for your responses, even the ones that state they don't understand how I can still talk to him. Well you are right, but I am not taking him back, the withdrawal letter was sent, now I sit here and wait. Yes i did hear him out and yes it hurt because I did enter into this marriage with true intentions, but I also know he is not being honest. There is no way that he is. He seems happy living about 50 minutes away working under the table for a small store. I have no idea where he is staying and truly dont want to know. I am ok, things will get better, but I am sure they will never look for him and make him leave. There are so many illegals here anyway..whats one more..this comment is not my personal belief it is just reality. He is going to stay here as long as he wants because of me. The only way he will get deported is if he gets caught doing something wrong. Kind of a kick in the #### if you ask me, but it is what it is

Glad that you sent the letter. I am not generally on board with "sending them back" but the I-864 scares me.

As far as him getting picked up, well don't be so sure. Things have changed a lot.

"Today, Immigration and Customs Enforcement director John Morton announced that 396,906 people were deported during the 2011 fiscal year, the largest number in ICE’s history."

But you don't worry about all that - you've done your part by reporting/pulling, go forth and live life well.
