Try to get an appointment again. You can call thèm for that. SAy to pick up your vids and that it was approved. Because you only have six months to leave when they approve it.

You did not pass the interview if they sent your papers back to the US. The best advice is to have your wife come on here and get advice from American women who have gone through the same thing with the American consulate in Casablanca. You can't do anything from your side. Have your wife come on VisaJourney.

It is NOT approved, as he said they sent his papers back to the US.

thank you , i was looking from the point where the wife called and they told her approcved. but you are right if it went back it is not approved. dont know who his wife spoke to there. besides the misunderstanding of the co to the wife, it would be nice if the uscis site would update statuses better, beacuse even once it get back it will still just show intial review and not any post approved denied. i noticed that on my first petiton, it still says initial review and we are on a whole new petition. i hope everyone just hang in there. sorry for the misunderstanding though.

i am gonna guess that uscis said the petition was re-affirmed.

So, tell your wife to call:

1. uscis, ask for status and

2.. DoS , ask for status then

Post back here with the results of the phone call.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

I'm not sure who she called.. But I'm guessing she called USCIS, who know nothing about DOS affairs untilt he petition is actually returned.

If she called before the USCIS got the petition back, could it be that USCIS just told her the petition had been approved from their side? otherwise I'm guessing the petition was received by USCIS, re-affirmed and that's when she called.

Petition and visa are two very different things. Just like USCIS and DOS are two different agencies.
