I am confused.. I am ready to send my k1 packet, finally got everything arranged, but want to know is the fee I send $350 or $240?

http://www.state.gov/r/pa/prs/ps/2012/03/187114.htm

It's neither of those. The fee for filing the I-129F petition is $340.

The $240 is the fee for the visa.

u send the $240 that's the new price they lowered the price

Incorrect. :bonk:

The lowered fee is for the visa fee, not the petition.

"reginakrys" -Are you sure that's what the OP meant?? Or are you the OP with a different name? ( no sarcasm or ill will intended).

OP, WE budgeted for all up around 4Kfor our K1 and flights(flights are 2k alone, AOS 1070) not including visits!

You can find the fees in the guides here or on the USCIS site.

There is the petition, flights, medical, police certs, AOS (I am sure I am forgetting something) that all add to your expenses.

Goodluck!

You need to re-plan. She will not be able to work until AFTER you file AOS, at which time you will also file for her EAD(Employment Authorization Document). She cannot work without the EAD or green card. It takes on average 3 months to receive the EAD after filing.

There are other fees, like mailings, plane tickets, hotel stays, medical fee, etc.

These are JUST the immigration fees:

I-129F petition fee: $340

Visa processing fee: $240

Adjustment of Status fee: $1070

Removal of Conditions fee: $590

Naturalization fee: $680

Total from petition to citizenship: $2920

That's not so bad, I will just dip into the inheritance. But thank you for the approx costs. Now, I just want to be sure this is what I need in my petition:

cover letter

i129f

g325a mine/hers

passport style photo x1 mine/hers behind g325a

g1145

letter of intent mine/hers

proof that I am an US citizen (I have copy of my passport and birth cert just to be sure)

copies of boarding passes, hotel receipts, pic of us together

copies of emails, lbc shipping receipts, cell phone bills, western union (proof of monthly allowance :innocent: )

then she will need exact copy of above PLUS

i134

?i864?----> is this necessary?

police clearance, NSO (birth cert), CENOMAR, NBI clearance.

Resent letter of intent from me dated closer to the interview.

anything else.

Thanks for all the help everyone, The money isn't an issue, I just need to know exactly what is needed, this is a great site full of knowledge.
