We filed in October too and got our approval 4th April, that is about two months ago. Since you are into the 8th month now, I will suggest you get your senator or congressman involved immediately. I know of several instances where the involvement of the senator or congressman has helped those whose petition like us had passed the five or six months processing time. Good luck.

Thanks a lots,do we get a senator or congress on our own or use a lawyer, cos a lawyer did the fileing for us

Sorry to hear that you did not hear anything on your petition for more than 8 months....did you talk to your LAWER?? did he ever refer you about SERVICE REQUEST...if not then you might got really really bad lawer....but it is past...you cant do anything....move on..

you are on right place...people are really helpful and most of time you will get solution....but you also have to read the resources though...

first call Service Center ( 800 - 375 - 5283) and ask for SERVICE REQUEST of your Petition as Out of Processing time frame.

at the same time, contact yoursenator or congressman. You can do by yourself and does not need lawyer...

link for U.S senators list

link for Congrssman

whatever happened, its gone...now be proactive.....

if you have any doubt, just ask on the forum....you will see lot of helping VJers.....

good luck....
