After six long months

We just got approved after 6 months. Can't tell you how happy I am feeling. My fiancé doesn't even know yet as he isn't answering his phone. We have gone through every emotion possible after this long wait.

We thought we were on shaky grounds because you see, we were married (to each other) in 1999 and divorced, we remained very close all these years. We should never have parted but the timing was wrong for many reasons.

So last May 2011 we asked his regular lawyer to help us and they said no problem, so we trusted them and in October 2011 we were denied because the lawyer only sent in the one form!! We should have known better but we trusted them and thought the system must have changed since 1999.

We told them what we thought of them and they put us in touch with a 'real immigration lawyer' and he did a really good job on our petition. We put in a waiver because this was the third time he had petitioned for me, we got a letter of intent notarised etc.

I'm so happy I could burst, I can't believe as I am writing this my fiance doesn't even know, but it will be a nice surprise when he gets in and listens to his answer machine (hope he understands my screaming lol)

I had just about given up. I won't sleep tonight!!

I hope everyone else hears good news soon.

Thank you everyone on this site, it got me through some bad times and gave me hope reading about other peoples experiences. I just wished I had found it last May, it would have saved a lot of heartache.

I'm going to go pinch myself and make sure I am not dreaming!
