Hi, I am a newbie here. I am filling for I-131 along with I-485 and I-130 for my marriage based green card. Now I am confused about I-131. Part 1 (3) asks for my class of admission. What does it mean? Then part 3 to part 7 offers different options. Since part 2 I chose option (d), should I fill out part 7 "Complete only if applying for advance parole"? Please help. Thank you all.

Part 1: Q3. Your timeline says F-1. If you entered on F-1, put that here.

Part 3: Q1-2. If you have intended travel plans, enter them here. Else, enter none. Q3: be sure to check No if that's accurate. Skip to part 7 because you're applying for advance parole. Don't bother about the instruction at the top of the page saying you have to submit a written statement of reasons for advance parole. In these circumstances, filing I-131 along with I-485 is sufficient reason. Check "More than one trip". Skip Q2 and Q3 because you are not outside of the U.S.

Are you also filing I-765? It's free to file and grants employment authorization. Even if you aren't working now, there may be unexpected circumstances in which it comes in handy.

Plus, if you file I-765 and I-131 at the same time, USCIS will issue you an "Employment Authorization Document" that is also stamped "Serves as advance parole". This card is a little sturdier than the paper advance parole they will issue otherwise.
