Greeting to Everyone...

After waiting 5 long months for NOA2 I contacted the USCIS. Reply is like this "Your case is currently under review. You should receive a decision or notice of other action within 60 days of the date of this letter."

What exactly should I read here?

You need to speak to a Tier 2 Officer, you need to initiate a service request!! Contact your Congressman and let them assisted.

Started Talking: 1998

Dated for 3 yrs, separated, & reunited after being apart for about 10yrs

Got married: Dec. 3rd, 2011

01/28/12 - I-130 Application filed and sent

02/07/12 - I-130 NOA1 Received neither email nor text.

07/12/12 - Received NOA2

NVC:

08/02/12 - Case number received

08/06/12 - Invoice ID Received

08/09/12 - Aos bill & Ds-3032 received

08/09/12 - AOS bill Paid

08/13/12 - Ds-3032 Accepted

08/15/12 - IV Bill received

Rok, it only means your process is going through the slow churning motions of immigration. It is not bad news, other than you have to sit tight and wait....

I know WAITING is not fun but most important thing you have to remember is: 5 months is general time frame....Honestly, I dont know the timeframe for NOA1 @ VSC at this time....Seems little bit slower than when I was at the same stage....

It seems you already put the SERVICE request and USCIS got back to you to wait 60 more days for the further action. thats the genetic email. You might hear way sooner than that time frame....but around 6 months might be more practical time frame to get NOA1......

Oh really!! feel satisfying to see others in same boat. Hope this comes under 30 days

I got my "within 60 days" notice on May 8. 30 days Today. Halfway there. Super annoyed though. Today is 185 days since my first NOA. I think I am the last December filer still waiting. Meanwhile January and February filers have already gotten theirs. So aggravating.

11/04/2011 - Married San Diego, Venezuela
12/01/2011 - I-130 Sent to Chicago Lockbox
12/05/2011 - NOA1, Vermont Service Center
06/25/2012 - NOA2 Approval
10/03/2012 - NVC processed IV Application and assigned interview date
11/07/2012 - Interview at US Embassy in Caracas - APPROVED
11/20/2012 - Visa Received
12/17/2012 - Arrival home in Buffalo, NY, PoE = Aruba

Lifting Conditions

09/26/2014 - Filed I-751 - VSC

10/15/2014 - NOA

11/10/2014 - Biometrics at Buffalo, NY Field Office

Sorry to hear....Most of the time we can't do anything beside WAITING...the process really tests our PATIENCE...but try to talk to Tier 2, you might get different result.....

Strange how that information is on the DHS site and not the USCIS. Thank you for the link. That would have been very helpful had I known about it months ago before I joined this site. I have seen several people mention the Tier 2 rep on VJ, but I never knew how or where they ever found out about it...I just assumed through experience. I'll definitely try that out.

I have contacted my Representative's office (Brian Higgins) three times now, and have received no relevant help.

I have contacted one of my Senators, Charles Schumer, and his office hasn't done anything for me at all, which surprises me a little, because he is an attention hound and loves to get his face plastered all over the place.

I did get the 60 more days notice from the service request...29 days left on that. But, I'll still call for this tier 2 soon, maybe tonight.

I'm getting worried...my wife is from Venezuela, and rumor has it Hugo Chavez is end stage cancer, giving him roughly 2 months. The problem with that is, if and when he passes, there is significant likelihood that the military will take control and close down the borders. That would be disastrous all the way around if she gets stuck there. Of course, I can't get an expedite based on rumors or even speculation of events unfolding from his predicted passing.

I am fully aware that its really hard to be postive when things keep going other way....I can see that you already did all measures that you can do...contacting your Senators, representative.....just want to put my 2 cents advise...Believe me your time frame is not OFF the chart...I personally believe you wil hear from USCIS very soon if there is no red flags...and if you are in normal process time ( I am talking about Practical time frame not per the official USCIS website) Senators and other people cant affect the outcome in the process....

I got the same response this morning since I called on 6/5/12. Let's hope it comes sooner than the 60 days!

Hope that rok situation also applies for you....good luck....Keep in mind though...its not easy as MATH...every case is different and so as outcome......Cant predict what will happen untill you see it....... :thumbs: :thumbs: :thumbs: :thumbs:
