Hi,

I am a UK citizen living in Jersey (a small Island situated between the UK and France). My fiancee (who is a US Citizen)and I are planning on getting married in Jersey this September and then applying for a CR1 visa so that I can join her in the States once the visa has been processed.

Does anyone know whether it is possible for me to have my embassy interview in a different country to the country in which we were married. The reason I ask is that Jersey does not have a US embassy - the closest US embassy would be in London ?

You will interview in whichever US embassy is responsible for Jersey- presumably the London one, but I am not 100% sure.

Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.

You will be interviewed in London, good luck on your journey.

02/17/02: KH & PH started dating

11/11/06: Married in the UK

05/10/12: Sent off I-130 via Express Mail

05/11/12: I-130 signed for at Chicago Lockbox

05/11/12: Priority date for I-130

05/21/12: Received NOA1 hardcopy VSC
