Can I do a expedite after 5 mon?

So here is the issue. My grandmother has cancer and just found out today that it has spread to her liver. She went to the hosp. last night due to so much pain. She is in Ohio and I am moving to FL, but I'm not even sure if I can do a expedite due to this. This will be like the 4-5 death in the family in less than a yr. which 3-4 of them are from cancer, my cousin passed just over the weekend from it . so if somebody can just give me advice on what to do, please do.

I already called USCIS, and they put in a service request, told me to wait 15 days if I dont hear anything to call back. But would that be 15 business days, or just 15 days period?

No harm in asking. It will not slow down processing just by making the request.

That isn't typically a circumstance that warrants an expedite.

yeh I dont know if it does or not because its not my mother or father you know. Just frustrated and tryin to figure out if there is something I can do. I dont want to go thru another death by myself, its to much to handle.. If it comes to there before he gets here.

I expedite my case after five months.i took about 10 days to approve and in the mean time i had to send them evedience of my expedite.Good Luck!

look at the grounds for expiditing. If you think you fall under then call and request. They will inform you of what documentation you would need for proof and take it from there. Sorry for what you are going through. My prayers go out to your and your family

I'd try and get a doctors note explaining the additional emotional stress that you're experiencing as well. Good luck with it

Just remember if you do a service request your file is then being passed to someone else who specifically reviews this file may request additional information and then if it is denied, the file will then go back to the regular process. This may delay your aproval even more
