Hi everyone!

I have received my EAD (employment authorization document) already and have applied for a social security number in a local Social Security Office. Unfortunately, there was a problem with the system of Homeland Security Website and they could not assign me a Social Security #.

Now, my question is, can I just apply for a work with EAD and without the SS #?

Hope to get an answer here. It would be a great help for me.

Thank you.

Chloe

Everything is fine. We followed the guide on here suggesting to wait 2 weeks after POE to be in system. Anne still wasn't so we had to wait for manual checks and about 2 to 3 weeks Anne just got hers in mail but clearly states not authorized to work until AOS/EAD.
